With my makeover underway, I’ve decided to start sprucing up my wardrobe, I mean what’s a makeover without new clothing right? The only issue was I didn’t want to break the bank so believe it or not, I’ve been doing most of my clothing shopping at Goodwill. I have to admit, I was never a fan of Goodwill but what I did not realize was what I was missing out on.
The secret to shopping at Goodwill is patience and making sure you sort thru all the racks, believe me when I say there are plenty of designer/name brand clothing items, you just have to look or better yet find that buddy that loves thrifting as much as you do and tag team it. My tag team partner is my sister…. Every other Saturday is 50% off all colored tags at Goodwill, what can be better than that…
The white lace shirt is from (Talbots) & the pink dress pants are from (Zara Woman) both were purchased at Goodwill… the booties were purchased at JC Penny and the pink clutch is from a website called Poshmark. https://poshmark.com
A few things I like to keep in mind when shopping and putting outfits together…
Keep it simple. Effortless style is all about looking like you put in no effort, so keep your outfits simple….
💞 Choose an outfit appropriate for the occasion….
💞 Emphasis the accessories…. (I always try to keep this in mind, I have been focusing on purchasing accessories to go with my outfits)
💞 Don’t neglect your hair…. (My hair is still a work in process and will be the biggest part of my makeover)
I am so excited to be starting this new chapter in my life. Follow me on my journey as I keep you posted on what comes next, looking forward to the end results.
